JLA Architects moving to The Current

JLA Architects has outgrown its east side office and will move its Madison office to a new mixed-used development, The Current, on the Yahara River in Monona. The firm’s new address will be 800 W. Broadway, Suite 300, Monona, 53713.

The firm, founded in 2007, plans a September move to The Current, which it designed with developer Galway Companies as the first phase of the Yahara Commons Development. The Current is comprised of 96 units of new, market-rate apartments, as well as 30,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office tenants.

Joseph Lee, owner and president of JLA Architects, says the new office location gives JLA the ability to continue its growth and follows its expansion into Milwaukee with the opening of a Third Ward office in 2017.

Also among JLA’s Madison-area projects are The Salvation Army’s homeless shelter renovation, the Factory District mixed-use development in Madison, and the Sun Prairie Ice Arena.
