JCPenney closing Tosa distribution center, laying off 670

JCPenney will close a 2 million-square-foot distribution warehouse in Wauwatosa, terminating the jobs of 670 employees beginning this summer, according to a report from WTMJ/Today’s TMJ4.

Reportedly, the retailer plans to sell the building to a real estate firm and relocate operations to Kansas and Ohio.

The company’s distribution center is scheduled to close on July 1, followed by the closing of its customer care center Sept. 1.
