Jade Garden site of proposed four-story development along South Park Street

South Park Street’s renaissance could continue if plans for four-story, mixed-use project at the current site of the Jade Garden restaurant come to fruition.

According to The Capital Times, plans for the four-story building include 47 market-rate residential units above more than 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space at 1109 S. Park St.

As proposed, the 47 residential units would consist of 20 studios, 23 one-bedroom units, and four two-bedroom units. A social room on the south end of the building would be housed in a partial fifth floor.

The proposal also includes 58 parking stalls.

Jade Garden, two one-story buildings, and a two-story structure on the block would be replaced by one building covering the entire length of the property, according to the proposal from developer Sue Jiang. Jiang owns three of the parcels and is willing to buy the fourth at 1123 S. Park St., according to the Cap Times report.
