Isthmus Project promises to be new medical accelerator

A new business accelerator that will have a medical focus launched in January and should be in full swing by summer.

The accelerator, named the Isthmus Project, will be headed by Thomas “Rock” Mackie and currently has an office at UW Hospital, according to a Wisconsin State Journal story.

The idea is reportedly to move medical inventions from UW Health and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health more quickly to the market.
