Is your site development ready?
A state program which designates industrial sites of 20 or more acres as ready for development is now accepting applications. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.’s Certified in Wisconsin program, which has generated $456 million in new investment throughout the state, will accept applications for the program through Feb. 15.
Wisconsin has 21 certified sites, with 29 development projects completed or underway that are expected to create more than 2,600 jobs and generate more than $472 million in capital investment. Among the projects taking place on certified sites is local development of The Little Potato Company, which established its U.S. headquarters in the DeForest Business Park and plans to create 125 jobs.
Certified Site designation is a fast track for properties to get the attention of site selectors and real estate developers, according to Zanya Bugri, real estate and location specialist for WEDC. For more information on the program and how to apply, visit wedc.org/certified.
