Is Foxconn reneging?

Foxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturer of large television display screens that’s planning a mega-factory in Mount Pleasant, Wis., is denying a report from an Asian news outlet that it will downsize its plans and investment in southeastern Wisconsin due in part to supply chain issues. Foxconn promised a $10 billion manufacturing plant that would create 13,000 jobs.

The Asian report states the company is looking to reduce costs by reducing the size of its liquid-crystal displays and would shift to smaller screens, according to a Wisconsin State Journal story.

In a separate report, Foxconn denies the claim, saying it remains committed to the Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park project in Mount Pleasant.
