This week IBTV goes behind the scenes to learn more about Trachte Building Systems of Sun Prairie. The company has been manufacturing steel buildings since its founding over 100 years ago. Over time, Trachte has gone from manufacturing steel Quonset huts and completely self-contained fast-food restaurants to designing and manufacturing steel self-storage buildings. The company markets to investors around the world interested in owning a self-storage facility. Trachte also manufactures steel doors and in 2000 purchased Fire Facilities, a manufacturer of steel fire training towers and buildings.
