IB Expo has gone Hollywood

From the pages of In Business magazine.

Wow! Where did the first half of 2017 go? Here we are in June, and that means the year is nearly half over and it’s time to focus in on this year’s IB Expo & Conference. This year’s event, set for Wednesday, Oct. 18, will mark the seventh installment of this all-day business event, and once again our goal is to create an event that has something of interest for every business professional in Greater Madison.

We’ll kick off the day’s activities with a keynote presentation that sets the tone for the entire day. For those of you who attended last year, you’ll certainly recall Jason Young’s presentation on “The Southwest Way,” and his engaging stories of Southwest Airlines’ legendary customer service and leadership training programs.

We certainly had our work cut out for us this year in following up last year’s presentation, but we’re confident that we’ve at least equaled it with this year’s keynote presenter, Libby Gill. She spent over 20 years in senior leadership roles at media/entertainment giants Universal Studios, Sony, and Turner Broadcasting, and was the PR and branding brain behind the launch of the Dr. Phil show back in the early 2000s. Today she is CEO of the executive coaching and consulting firm Libby Gill & Co., where her clients include ABC-Disney, Comcast, GoDaddy, Microsoft, Nike, PayPal, and Warner Bros., just to name a few.

Gill will focus this keynote on “Igniting Bold Leadership: Creating Engagement, Inspiring Purpose, and Driving Action,” and she’ll share powerful leadership strategies. Whether you are an established leader at your company/organization or you are an aspiring leader, there will be key takeaways for everyone in attendance.

Register NOW for both the keynote presentation and the IB Expo at www.MadisonBusinessExpo.com. You’ll notice that we’ve once again built a theme around the Expo, and we plan to have some fun around our “Hollywood Star” theme, so Gill’s past experiences will fit in well. I’ll have more details on this and the other exciting Expo events in this column as we get closer to the event. In the meantime, I’d recommend locking in your spot for the keynote presentation before July 15 so you can take advantage of our early bird keynote rates. Individual tickets are $30 or you can purchase a table of eight tickets for $175 (a $65 savings). The rest of the Expo events are free, so get it on your calendar!
