Home sales slow in July

With fewer homes on the market Wisconsin home sales in July 2016 lagged behind the same period a year ago by 7.6%, according to the Wisconsin Realtors Association.

Still, the 8,189 statewide home closings represented the second best July since 2005.

In Dane County specifically, 899 properties were sold in July compared to 1,070 last year — a 16% drop — but the median price jumped 10.9% year to year, from $229,900 in 2015 to $255,000 this past July.
