Home sales drop 12 percent year over year

A report on third quarter single-family home sales in Wisconsin shows a 12 percent decline in single-family home and condo sales in September 2018 compared to September 2017, according to a Wisconsin Realtors Association release. Statewide year-to-date figures (January through September), shows only a 2.7% drop when compared with the same time period in 2017.

By county, Richland (+88.2%), Iowa (+30.2%), Crawford (22.1%), and Dodge (16.0%) counties experienced the largest year–to-year median price increases. Dane County’s median home price in September rose 3.1 percent from September 2017, from $262,000 to $270,000.
