Henley, Duluth Trading reach settlement
Duluth Trading Co. and Eagles frontman Don Henley have reached an agreement following a lawsuit Henley filed last fall regarding the apparel company’s use of his name and a lyric from an Eagles song. Duluth’s ads for Henley shirts read “Don a Henley and take it easy.”
Henley objected, saying the company did not have permission to use his name, likeness, or music to promote any products.
Henley and the company settled the lawsuit on April 14. Duluth Trading Co. published an apology and agreed to donate to Henley’s nonprofit, Walden Woods Project.
