Google moves into new office in Gebhardt building

Many of Google’s 100 local employees have a new professional home as the technology giant has moved into a new 30,000-square-foot office space in the eight-story Gebhardt Building overlooking downtown Madison.

According to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal, the new Google office is twice the size of its other Madison office, located across the street in the Constellation, and it features a panoramic view of the Isthmus from the East Capitol Corridor.

Google first opened an office in Madison in 2008 to develop hardware and software for the company’s data centers, and it has been steadily growing ever since. It’s new home is in the same building as The Sylvee, a 2,500-seat performance venue operated by Frank Productions.
