Google again delays return to offices

Google workers, including those at the Madison location, will not return to the offices anytime soon, according to a report from WisconsinInno.com. The company will not be requiring a return to the offices by January as previously planned and is waiting until the new year to reassess the decision. In an email to employees, Google Vice President of Global Security Chris Rackow said the company is no longer requiring a return to the office by Jan. 10 and will be reshaping the return plan as the omicron variant becomes better understood. The company will also not be adopting a planned three-days-in-the-office hybrid work mandate in its U.S. offices at this time.
