Goodman Center seeks donations for school supplies

With inflation impacting the cost of school supplies, the Goodman Center estimates that 100 children in Goodman programs will need help with supplies. The center is asking for donations to help these children and another 100 from the wider community to offset the expenses associated with returning to school. The average American family spent $272 per child on school supplies last year and that number is expected to rise in 2022. Goodman is requesting help through its Amazon Wish List, direct financial gifts to Goodman, or donation of supplies. Volunteers will be on hand Aug. 6 and 7 from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. to accept and sort donations at the Goodman Center Ironworks building at 149 Waubesa St.
