Good, bad news for Harley-Davidson

First the good: the Milwaukee motorcycle manufacturer continues to adjust to changing demand and remains on track to launch an electric motorcycle in mid-2019.

But the company also announced that it would be closing its motorcycle assembly plant in Kansas City, Mo. and consolidating it into its plant in York, Pa.

According to a release, Harley-Davidson worldwide retail motorcycle sales dropped 6.7% in 2017 compared to 2016 and U.S. retail sales decreased 8.5%.
