Gas prices likely to remain low

Gas prices will most likely remain low next year, according to a prediction from the Energy Information Administration, a division of the Energy Department. The EIA predicts prices will hover around $2.94 per gallon on average in 2015, which is 45 cents lower per gallon than this year’s average price. If the prediction turns out to be accurate, U.S. consumers would save just over $61.1 billion, increasing their purchasing power elsewhere.
