Free Bikes 4 Kidz seeks to double capacity with new space
Free Bikes 4 Kidz (FB4K), a nonprofit that gives away bikes to children in need, is seeking a new permanent space, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The organization is looking for a new location of up to 20,000 square feet to house its operations and inventory and meet its goal of giving away 5,000 bikes per year, which is double its current capacity. The organization has been located in several different spaces since its founding in 2016 and has expanded to serve not only Dane County, but also the cities of Milwaukee, Janesville, and Racine. FB4K has given away 8,249 bikes since the beginning of the program.
