Former Alexander Co. employee charged with stealing from company

The Alexander Co., a property management and development firm in Madison, was allegedly bilked out of nearly $100,000 by a former employee, Gregory Hunt, who had managed several of Alexander’s buildings. Hunt allegedly created a fake company, Floor-Tek, and used fake invoices to bill Alexander in 2012 and 2013 for work that was never done. He also billed the company an additional $60,000 in building materials for a home he was building.

Floor-Tek’s bank records, however, show that Alexander Co. paid as much as $387,800 to the fake company between 2009 and 2013.

Officials from the Alexander Co. contacted police last June after suspecting Hunt was involved in illegal activity. Hunt was charged with 10 counts of theft by false representation, nine of which are felonies. Hunt’s 32-year-old daughter Tiffany L. Wilson, who lives in Waukesha, was also charged. The fake company’s bank account was in her name.
