Food hall planned for Middleton

Middleton is jumping on a food-hall trend across the nation with the development of Dwell at Middleton Market, a mixed-use development that will include 263 apartments, two buildings, and a 31,000-square-foot commercial space.

According to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal, co-developer Robin Pharo, president of Treysta Group, says the commercial space will feature a European-style food hall with 15 vendors and offer chef-driven food concepts showcasing regional specialties from flowers to cooking essentials and coffee.

The market will be located west of Parmenter Street, just off the Beltline, on Lisa Lane, where the Bowling Green softball field used to be.

The Middleton Market is not a public market because it will not act as a business incubator. The first building will open next summer, while the second will open in early 2021.
