Focus on Energy a boon to state economy

According to a recent report from an independent evaluator, Focus on Energy, a statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program funded by Wisconsin’s investor-owned energy utilities and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities, generated more than $600 million in economic benefits for the state between 2011 and 2014, and by 2038 will have created $2.8 billion in benefits.

In addition, the report notes that between 2011 and 2014 Focus on Energy created nearly 2,000 jobs annually, more than half of which are in the manufacturing sector.
