Farmers market plans return to square
The Dane County Farmers’ Market has applied to use the perimeter of Capitol Square on Saturdays from June 19–Nov. 13, except Sept. 25 when Art Fair on the Square is scheduled, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. If approved by the Street Use Staff Commission, the market will relocate from the Alliant Energy Center where it is currently holding its Saturday markets. The application shows an expected crowd size of 15,000. There is also a request to hold the Wednesday farmers market on the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. from June 23 to Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
