Exact Sciences inclusion puts downtown plan on fast track

A proposal from JDS Development (Hammes Co. and Majestic Realty) that encompasses a new headquarters for Exact Sciences appears to be the favorite of the four submitted proposals received for the Judge Doyle Square project in downtown Madison, according to a report in The Cap Times.

Wasting no time, the city’s finance committee recommended that staffers move ahead with negotiations.

Fast-growing Exact Sciences is considering other location options as well, and wants to finalize its location search in June with hopes it could be completed in 2017. For that reason, city officials have recommended moving up the timeline accordingly.

If, in the end, the JDS/Exact Sciences plan does not pan out, officials could go back to one of the other three proposed plans submitted by Beitler Real Estate Services, Doyle Square Development, and Vermillion Development.
