Epic's Faulkner No. 520 on Forbes' billionaires list

Judith Faulkner, founder of Verona-based Epic Systems Corp., and Diane Hendricks of ABC Supply in Beloit made more than $1 billion last year, according to the latest Forbes billionaires list. Herbert Kohler Jr. of the Kohler Co. made the most in the state, at $3.3 billion.

According to Forbes’ research, about two-thirds of the people on the world’s billionaires list built their own fortunes, 13% inherited them, and 21% grew the fortunes they had received.

Faulkner ranked No. 520 on Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires with a net worth reported at $3.1 billion. Hendricks, ranked No. 325, had a net worth of $4.6 billion. Kohler (No. 215) comes in second behind John Menard, founder of Menards, Inc., with a family fortune worth $6.3 billion, and Menard (No. 177), led Wisconsin’s list with a fortune of $7.5 billion.

Bill Gates is the richest man on the planet, according to the list, with a net worth of $76 billion.
