Epic among highest-grossing health IT companies
Three Wisconsin-based companies made it onto a list of the nation’s highest-grossing health IT companies, according to the latest Healthcare Informatics’ 2014 HCI 100 ranking. Verona-based Epic Systems Corp. is the eighth-highest-grossing health IT company in the nation with $1.75 billion in revenues. Nordic Consulting of Madison also makes the list, coming in at number 74 ($81.4 million). Ranking 58th is IOD Inc. of Green Bay ($126.6 million).
Meanwhile, California-based Glassdoor ranks Epic as the fifth-best employer when it comes to compensation and benefits, based on employee responses to a survey for the year ending April 9, 2014. Based on 168 responses, the company earned an average of 4.2 stars out of five. Epic’s overall rating, based on 596 employee reviews Glassdoor has collected since 2008, is 3.2 stars. Epic ranked behind Google, Costco, Facebook, and Adobe.
