East Towne Gordman’s remains open — for now

Nebraska-based Gordman’s department store at East Towne Mall will remain open until further notice after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March.

Stage Stores Inc. now owns 50 Gordman’s locations and has an option for seven more.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Stage Stores will close 48 stores.
