East side’s Boneset Records to close this June

Madison’s Boneset Records is set to close June 10 this year, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The store’s owner, Maggie Denman, announced Wednesday that she and her partner will be moving to Milwaukee, where they have purchased a home.

Boneset Records, located on 222 North St., opened last August. The store sells vinyl records, cassette tapes, compact discs, movies on VHS tapes, and DVDs, many of which came from Sugar Shack Records, Denman’s former place of employment, which closed in April 2022.

Boneset Records will continue to sell its wares online and at pop-up events. The store will remain open Friday–Sunday from 12–5 p.m. until the June closure.
