East side businesses set to close

After 37 years, Lakeside Press on Williamson Street will close at the end of the year. The printing company was known for printing promotional flyers and literature for political causes, but fell victim to business pressures, according to an article at tonemadison.com.

Not far away, Block Cleaners owner Jim Friedl announced the closing of his dry cleaning business at 2017 Winnebago St. just one year shy of its 100th year in operation. Friedl cited health issues and reportedly has an offer on the building, according to a Capital Times article. His nephew, Dave Ever, has been running the business.
