DWD: State created 32,000 jobs in 2012
New figures from the Department of Workforce Development show Wisconsin added 32,000 jobs in 2012. Between 2010 and 2012, the state added a total of 62,072 private-sector jobs, less than a quarter of the 250,000 jobs Gov. Scott Walker promised to create by 2015. Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s unemployment rate remained at 7.1% in April, besting the national rate of 7.5%.
