Dunham Express (DHL) closes
Dunham Express, a delivery company that started in Madison in 1951, closed its doors suddenly after a receiver appointed in January determined it could no longer continue. The company was reportedly $8 million in debt.
Dunham had about 200 employees and operated in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula.
Equipment and assets were seized and proceeds will go to the company’s secured creditors, but it is unlikely all debt will ever get repaid, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Dunham was most recently owned by a holding company in Minnesota.
