Duluth Trading founders make transformational gift to Boy & Girls Clubs

Steve and Marianne Schlect, founders of Duluth Trading, have donated $1.5 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The donation will help fund the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center, a new trade school in Fitchburg. The new technical training school will help young people develop skills as plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, carpenters, and other trades and is planned to open in March 2023 at 5225 Verona Road. The project has raised $13.6 million of a $17 million goal.
