Developer revises twice-denied plan
Missouri-based Green Street Development Group has revised a development after approvals were denied twice by the Madison City Council, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The developer of the more than $150 million project on Madison’s North Side is asking for rezoning for 76 single-family lots, commercial space on 7.2 acres, 10.2 acres for agriculture, 1.6 acres of park space, 3.5 acres of open space for nearby Lake View Elementary School, and land for stormwater management at the 63.6-acre Raemisch Farm site between North Sherman and Packers avenues. The revised plans reduce the number of single-family lots by 23 and retain 10.2 acres along Sherman Avenue as agricultural space. A virtual public information session with Green Street representatives and City Planning staff will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m.
