Developer proposing housing in place of church
Madison-based Threshold Development has proposed demolishing Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 2165 Linden Ave., for a three-story housing project, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The church congregation has struggled financially in the past and approached the developer about the project. The $8 million project would include 32 apartments and 42 underground parking spaces. The style of the proposed building resembles row houses with two stories facing the street and a stepped-back third story. The mix of units is 12 efficiencies, 10 one-bedroom, and 10 two-bedroom units.
