Developer proposes 50-unit apartment building on W. Washington Avenue
Developer Erik Minton and Dr. John Bonsett-Veal want to replace Bonsett-Veal’s current optometry office at 425 W. Washington Ave. with a building that would include 50 apartments, two commercial spaces — one for Bonsett-Veal and the other for a health club — and 63 underground parking spaces. Minton and Bonsett-Veal tried twice before to redevelop the lot (in 2005 and 2008) and hope the third time is the charm. Formal plans have been submitted to the city.
