DCHS opens thrift store, revenue stream

The Dane County Humane Society (DCHS) opened a new Madison thrift store in January at 680 Grand Canyon Drive.

According to a Wisconsin State Journal report, the thrift store replaces a DCHS cat adoption center and is now accepting donations of gently used clothing, shoes, housewares, linens, games, jewelry, etc.

All proceeds support the DCHS and officials are hoping for first-year sales of $100,000. There are no animals at the thrift store location.
