Craft beer bar slated for Ovation 309 building

Mr. Brews Taphouse, a combination craft beer bar and restaurant, will be part of the Ovation 309 building that’s currently under construction on West Johnson Street, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal. The 4,000-square-foot location, which could serve as a showcase property for other franchisees, will offer 72 tap beers from around the world.

The report says Founder Steven Day started the company in Weston under the name Brews Brothers, and now he’s looking to franchise smaller 2,000- to 2,500-square-feet versions. He reportedly has attracted interest from investors in Chicago, Nashville, and Fort Myers.
