County loosens restrictions on bars, gatherings

Public Health Madison and Dane County has issued Emergency Order No. 14, loosening restrictions on gatherings and allowing for customers to patronize bars within capacity restrictions.

Indoor gatherings where food and drink are served are now allowed for 150 or fewer people, and attendance at outdoor gatherings are now allowed for up to 500 people. Social distance requirements of 6 feet or more are still required, as are face coverings. Indoor dining at restaurants will be allowed at 50% capacity (compared to 25% from the previous order) and bars and taverns are now allowed to seat customers inside at 25% capacity. The new order goes into effect on March 10.
