Core Campus eyes another high-rise downtown

As construction continues on Hub Madison, a 12-story, 500,000-square-foot, high-end apartment complex at State and North Frances streets, Core Campus, its Chicago-based developer, is already proposing a similar, slightly smaller structure across the street.

This one, however, could include a hotel.

According to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal, Core Campus will purchase a .08-acre property at 510 University Ave. from The Mullins Group and would like to erect Hub Madison 2, another 12-story structure. At nearly 425,000 square feet, it would include nearly 300 apartments, several townhouses, and more than 9,200 square feet of retail space.
