Construction on Alliant Energy Center barns delayed

Construction of two large pavilions at the Alliant Energy Center will be shifted to next year due to a tight construction calendar and the AEC’s reluctance to be in the throes of construction over the winter months. The revised plan calls for demolishing the center’s current 11 barns after next year’s Midwest Horse Fair in mid-April and building the two new pavilions, which will total 290,000 sq. ft., in time for the 2014 World Dairy Expo in October.
