Connecture to be subcontractor on Minnesota insurance exchange

Waukesha-based Connecture has landed its second contract to help build a state insurance exchange, and this time the sales automation provider will support the implementation of a statewide exchange for Minnesota.

In Minnesota, Connecture will be a subcontractor to MAXIMUS, which was selected as the prime contractor to design, implement, and maintain the state’s health insurance exchange. Connecture, which operates in the health care industry, will support the enrollment and health insurance sales function of the exchange.

Under the Affordable Care Act, states are required to build online health insurance exchanges to provide market information to health care consumers. States like Wisconsin have declined to start work on the exchanges, pending the outcome of the November elections.
