City reconsiders funding gap for Madison Public Market
A proposed amendment to the 2023 city budget plan offers up to $6 million in TIF district money for the proposed Madison Public Market project, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The funding would close the $5.2 million funding gap that has stalled the project. The council will take up the amendment put forward by Alds. Syed Abbas, Regina Vidaver, and Nasra Wehelie, as well as seven others at the city’s Finance Committee deliberations in the next week.
