Chief Executive magazine: Wisconsin improves business climate
Wisconsin’s reputation as a good place to do business keeps improving, according to Chief Executive magazine’s 2013 Best & Worst States for Business survey. Based on responses from 736 CEOs nationwide, Wisconsin came in at number 17, improving on its 20th-place ranking in 2012, which was up from 24th in 2011 and 41st in 2010. Texas remains number one, largely because it does not have a state income tax, and California was ranked last.
