Chicken Run to replace Crandall’s

A new mostly-carryout and delivery restaurant is opening at the former Crandall’s at 6401 University Ave. in Middleton.

The Chicken Run, a small, family owned restaurant chain better known in Illinois and Iowa as the Candlelight Inn, is reportedly famous for it’s Chicken George recipe — battered and fried chicken breast pieces, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
