Changes afoot in local restaurant scene

Food Fight Restaurant Group will open two restaurants where Bluephies and Bluephies’ Vodkatorium once operated on Monroe Street. Verdant (name may change) will offer a lighter, produce-focused menu, while Miko Pokey will offer “sea-to-table” meals featuring fresh fish and sushi (without the rice), as well as some shrimp and chicken dishes.

AJ Bombers is closing its Madison restaurant in favor of a move to a dining, retail, and entertainment area in Wauwatosa named the Mayfair Collection.

Dahmen’s Pizza Place on Mineral Point Road closed after failing to come to terms with its landlord. The Dahmen brothers, Tyler and Justin, recently took over the Tap Room at Hawk’s Landing in Verona.
