Chabad Jewish center breaks ground on Monroe Street  

Madison’s Chabad Jewish community members met on Monroe Street, Sunday, April 30, for the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Jewish center, according to Channel3000. The new building will be a religious space as well as a cultural gathering place for Madison’s Jewish community.  

The groundbreaking ceremony included speakers such as Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and state Rep. Lisa Subek. The building does not have an official opening date set at this time, but construction has already begun.
