Cellular Dynamics to open California location
Cellular Dynamics International of Madison is opening a second location. The company will lease space for up to five years at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato, Calif. The expansion was made possible by a $16 million grant it received from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine to develop stem cell lines that will become the basis of a biobank for worldwide research (see Found Money). CDI was founded by UW-Madison stem cell pioneer James Thomson.
