CDI to uproot for Verona

Cellular Dynamics International, founded by UW–Madison stem cell pioneer James Thomson, announced a future move from University Research Park in Madison to Verona.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, CDI plans to lease 100,000 square feet for laboratory and office space in a building that will be built and owned by developer John Livesey. Livesey also owns the land, which is in the Verona Technology Park at the southeast corner of highways PB and M.

CDI was purchased by Fujifilm Holdings Corp. in 2015 and currently employs about 160 people, including about 25 in California. The new building should have space for 200 workers.
