CARW announces Wisconsin Retail Real Estate Conference next month
The Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin (CARW) has announced the Wisconsin Retail Real Estate Conference will take place this year on Sept. 27 at Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson Museum at 400 West Canal St. in The Garage. The day’s agenda includes a keynote speaker, roundtables, the Wisconsin Brands Panel, and guest presenter Charlie Berens.
The Wisconsin Brands Panel, featuring Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Cousins Submarines Inc., Culver’s, and Kwik Trip, will showcase companies that have established a powerful retail presence in the state of Wisconsin. These brands are recognized for their exceptional products, services, and overall impact on the local and global markets. The discussion will revolve around real estate, site selection, sector trends, models for success, and more.
The keynote speaker will be CBRE Head of Retail Research for the Americas Brandon Isner, who is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing research projects and providing data support for CBRE operations. Isner will focus on the current state of retail real estate and give insight into what CBRE sees for the future of retail real estate.
Roundtable topics will include expanding restaurants, local market updates, expanding and contracting retailers, financing in an increasing interest rate environment, construction cost scenarios, growth of entertainment concepts, adaptive reuse, leveraging technology, site selection, and more. Attendees will rotate through four different 20-minute sessions.
The guest speaker for the event will be Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens, who is a New York Times bestselling author, Emmy-winning journalist, musician, and creator of the Manitowoc Minute.
