Capital Brewery planning new Sauk City facility
Capital Brewery plans to break ground on a new facility in Sauk City later this summer and start producing beer next spring. The company’s new location will include offices, a tasting room, an outdoor entertainment venue, and the capacity to package its own product. At first, the Sauk City facility will have the capacity to produce 100,000 barrels of beer, and if fermenting tanks are added, production could rise to 250,000 barrels a year.
Meanwhile, Capital’s Middleton location is on task to produce about 33,000 barrels of beer this year. It will remain open when the Sauk City plant goes online but will focus more on small batches and limited-release beers, according to reports.
