Café Porta Alba to close at Hilldale
Yet another mall-based restaurant will soon serve its last meal, as Café Porta Alba has announced in a Facebook post that it will be closing after 10 years of operation at Hilldale shopping center.
Café Porta Alba, known for its Neapolitan-style pizza, will be closing Oct. 19. In the Facebook post, owner Vincenzo Pugliese, who will be moving to Baltimore, Maryland, says the restaurant at 558 N. Midvale Blvd. will soon be announcing special events related to the closing.
According to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal, Pugliese opened Café Porta Alba in 2006 at 15 N. Butler St., and moved to Hilldale in 2009.
