Berntsen awarded $5M federal contract

Berntsen International Inc. of Madison has been awarded a five-year, $5 million contract by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to provide the survey monuments used to mark the nation’s boundaries. An agency of the U.S. Department of the Interior, the BLM administers more than 247 million acres of public lands.

Berntsen’s marking products already are found in more than 100 countries and on the summit of Mount Denali, along the Lewis and Clark Trail, at the Four Corners, and in the Wisconsin State Capitol. The company, which recently expanded into the “smart” marking realm, provides marking products for the land survey, utility, and construction industries.
